The international consortium lead by Project Group, among which members we find INCATEMA Consulting & Engineering, has been awarded the Technical Assistance contract for the creation of a tea-applied Research Centre in the city of Rize. The project relies on EU financing.
Tea cultivation is an important economic activity in the Black Sea region, crucial for the economy of rural families.
The purpose of the project is to improve competitiveness of tea industries in Rize area and surroundings through industry-applied research and innovation. The project also embeds the improvement and rehabilitation of the existing storage and processing infrastructures.
With this project, Turkish Government seeks to boost yields of tea crops and the final quality of the product, improving trading channels.
The project will start in October 2016 and will last 18 months.
