DINEPA acknowledges provisional works delivery for water supply to Port au Prince

INCATEMA Consulting & Engineering has carried out provisional works delivery to the Haitian National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation for lot 2 of the contract signed to reinforce water supply in Port au Prince metropolitan area.

Works pertaining to this lot consisted in replacing existing water pumps; rehabilitate a pumping station with a new electrical system that allows it to run automatically, installing a new auxiliary generator for an uninterrupted operation, installing more than 800 m of cast iron pipes and connecting to existing water deposit. These works took place in Mariani district, within Carrefour municipality in Port au Prince metropolitan area.

The new pumping system allows moving up 100 m 278 litres per second of drinking water through three pumps of 160 KW. A replacement pump has been installed as well.

 Works carried out by INCATEMA will guarantee quality drinking water supply to a depressed area within the Haitian capital, encompassing an enhancement of the hygienic and sanitary conditions for this suburb population.
