INCATEMA trains future trainers of fisheries vocational training school (CEFOPESCAS)

Within the project signed with the Angolan Ministry of Fisheries to build and furnish fisheries vocational training school (CEFOPESCAS), in Luanda, INCATEMA has received in Vigo future CEFOPESCAS trainers that will teach subjects related to Multipurpose Coastal Skipper qualification.

This training purpose is to adapt trainers’ knowledge to international rules by IMO (International Maritime Organization), and will take place at Instituto Politécnico Marítimo Pesquero del Atlántico in Vigo, a reference in Spain for fisheries-related training, and will be divided in two training periods between September and April.

This training, held in Spain, are within the pedagogic transfer plan that INCATEMA is implementing with the vocational training body from the Angolan Ministry of Fisheries.


CEFOPESCAS is a training complex built over more than 5 ha located near Ramiro (Luanda). It features a large training building with almost a 1 ha built, housing facilities for more than 300 students, housing facilities for 24 teachers, laboratories, workshops, navigation simulator, practice area with an adapted pool to recreate deep sea, a training ship and small boats that allow to replicate any given scenario, canteen, green areas and parking lots.
