INDEMAR, a group company, has successfully completed a study trip benefiting the Senegalese Government and shrimp fisheries ship-owners.

Within the Technical Assistance to the Sustainable Fisheries Management Project for Senegal (ADUPES) that INDEMAR carries out in consortium with AGRER and BRLI, the consultancy company has organised and tutored a 1 week study trip (23rd to 27th March 2015) attended by representatives from the Senegalese fisheries administration (Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy) and the shrimp sector ship-owners, represented by the president of the Senegalese Shrimp Fisheries Ship-owners Cooperative (COSECPRO).
INDEMAR guided and tutored the attendants through a series of visits and discussions that showed the present functioning of white shrimp market in Spain, specifically the path followed in the market by white shrimp captured in Senegal, landed and sold frozen in Spain.
The meetings facilitated by our staff with sector stakeholders in Spain included a visit to DIMAROSA frozen fish auction hall in Huelva and MERCAMADRID, the biggest wholesale agrifood market in Spain.
