Impact assessment for common agricultural policy measures on viable food production has started

The new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) reformulated in 2015, features new instruments that seek enhancing viable food production with a regional focus and environment protection measures.
The aim of this study is to assess CAP impact on viable food production and its contribution to increasing farmers’ income, to increasing sector competitiveness and increasing market stability.
The study will take place in all EU member countries covering the period starting with the 2013 CAP reform (from January 1st 2014 to present).
14 national and regional institutions will be interviewed (central and regional administrations, agriculture cooperatives and private sector) in each member state.
INCATEMA Consulting & Engineering, within a European multinational consortium, will carry out the case study for Spain, starting July 2017 and it is expected to end September 2017.
