Incatema Consulting has successfully completed the Mid-term Evaluation of an AECID-funded project in Angola. The project has as main objective the “Support for the reconstruction and strengthening of peace through professional training, employability and the creation of conditions for the socioeconomic development of youngsters of rural areas in vulnerable situation”.

The work has been developed taking advantage of the excellent background of INCATEMA Consulting, its sound knowledge of Angola and thanks to its assessment team: agricultural engineers specialized in the Assessment of complex Conventions financed by the AECID in different African countries and experts in management and execution of large projects in the food-industry sector in Angola.

For two weeks, the evaluation team has held meetings in Luanda and the provinces of Huambo and Bié with all actors involved, conducting more than 50 interviews and 7 discussion groups, visiting a significant sample of 5 agricultural cooperatives, consulting with technical experts of the AECID, PNUD, FAO, etc.

This work represents for Incatema Consulting the continuity of its relation with the Spanish Agency of International Development Cooperation, AECID, which started more than 10 years ago in Sao Tomé and Príncipe and Angola with the direct execution of agricultural projects for development cooperation.

This is the second Assessment of Conventions financed by the AECID in African countries (Angola and Senegal) developed by Incatema Consulting in 2013.
