Incatema builds a tomato processing plant in Namibe, Angola

In light of Africa Industrialization Day, Incatema is proud to be able to demonstrate its continued commitment to executing projects that contribute to industrial development in Africa and that enable the growth of the local economy through trade.

One of its most notable projects carried out is the construction of a tomato processing plant in the municipality of Namibe, a city on the Angolan coast, whose operations will range from the reception of the fresh product right up to obtaining the final sieved tomato puree, including its subsequent canning and marketing.

This turnkey project has involved residential development and construction work on a plot of more than one hectare for multiple uses, amongst these the building of a complex comprising five blocks of dwellings for future line managers and an agro-industrial plant where areas for the processing, heat treatment, canning, packaging and storage of the products are located.

This processing plant, that houses the production line, covers an area of 2,400m2 and is divided into various zones, including lines for tomato processing, fruit washing, heat treatments, sterilisation and aseptic canning, along with other elements and equipment necessary for the efficient operation of this agro-industry.

This video highlights the main features of this project carried out for the Angolan Ministry of Agriculture.
