PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY NETWORK REHABILITATION WORKS  END IN VILLE DAQUIN (HAITI)

Works for water supply network rehabilitation in Aquin town are  end in . The effects of hurricane Matthew passing through this town last October affected the works carried out to this point. INCATEMA lent its machinery to the Town Hall for streets cleaning, removing uprooted trees and miscellaneous objects dragged by the hurricane, as well as for riverbanks rehabilitation and preventive cleaning to rebuild access to the new water collection points.
Works consisted in building two water collection points by the river, leading water into an existent reservoir. The main pipeline coming from another existent reservoir has been renewed to link it to the town drinking water supply network. It was necessary to build a division box, 7.2 km of new cast iron and polyethylene pipes and two chlorination compact units. An existing pumping station was rehabilitated, furnishing it with new pumps and two water kiosks were built along with the rehabilitation of eight already existing drinking water kiosks. The road between the two water reservoirs has been renewed on 1.9 km with repaving, seven ford crossings, existing channels cleaning and new channels pierced.
