The future teachers of Cefopescas return to Angola with the All Purpose Coastal Skipper certificate

The 19 students from Angola have taken part in the closing ceremony of the 7-month training cycle to become All Purpose Coastal Skippers. This cycle, which took place at the Instituto Marítimo Pesqueiro do Atlántico (Atlantic Maritime Fishing Institute) of Vigo, forms part of the training component of the Cefopescas project for construction of the Basic School of Fisheries Training in Luanda, promoted by Incatema Consulting & Engineering.

The director of the Atlantic Fishing Institute of Vigo, Ms. Engracia Trillo, presided the cycle’s closing ceremony and handed the students the diploma accrediting the training conducted.

Further to obtaining this qualification, the students will continue the training stage of this project in the Ramiro commune of Luanda, where the school has been built. A team of Spanish teachers will travel there and accompany the students in the handling of equipment supplied to the new school by Incatema.

These trainings are part of the Educational Transfer Plan that Incatema are developing in Collaboration with the Pedagogical Team of the Ministry of Fisheries of Angola and which has already accumulated a total duration of 26 months of continuous training.
