Training in Spain for future teachers of the Fisheries Vocational Training Centre in Angola is completed.

On September 8th, the training delivered in Spain to 22 trainees that will be the future teachers and tutors for the fisheries vocational training centre that INCATEMA Consulting & Engineering S.L. is building in Luanda (Angola), a modern facility with brand new technical means that is expected to be a reference in fisheries and navigation vocational training in Sub-Saharan Africa.

For more than 6 months, future teachers have received specific training in very specialised topics such as multipurpose coastal master, advanced fire fight, international aid system for maritime security, fisher-seaman, among others, and they have learned techniques for traditional maritime occupations such as welding, winchman, polyester processing and maritime woodwork.

All these trainings have enabled proper certification of the trainees with the utmost quality standards under IMO (International Maritime Organization); therefore, these trainings are duly supported by this institution and are recognised worldwide.

This is the beginning of the training component of the project that will be completed with the mobilisation of Spanish fisheries professionals to Luanda by the beginning of 2018, with an aim to reinforce training delivered in Spain, assist the CEFOPESCAS syllabus preparation and coordinate the faculty with administrative structures from the Ministry of Fisheries
