Incatema now on CONNECT Portal, the FAO’s new web page for its private sector collaborations

Incatema Consulting & Engineering appears among the private firms featured in the new portal set up by the FAO, CONNECT Portal. In this new portal, the FAO includes all its private sector partners, with details of sectors, targets, and the expected results of each collaboration.

Incatema and the FAO began to collaborate in 2019 with the signing of an agreement to promote the use of renewable energies in food processing on various small Caribbean islands.

The purpose of this agreement is to contribute to improve food security and to promote a more efficient development of food systems by reducing the resources used and post-harvest losses. This collaboration also pursues the achievement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) that relate to the Organisation’s activities, namely the following:

SDG 2: Zero hunger. End hunger, achieve food security and improve nutrition, promote sustainable farming. SDG 5: Gender equality. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. SDG 12: Responsible production and consumption Guarantee sustainable consumption and production modalities.
