Under the slogan established by the United Nations for this year, “Inspired by nature. For the climate. For our future” and the campaign message #ForTheClimateNow, the company highlights how its international projects translate into immediate actions to mitigate the effects of global warming and protect the most vulnerable populations.
In a context where the planet is sending unmistakable signals through extreme weather events, Incatema focuses its activities on construction and agricultural development solutions that view the natural environment not merely as something to be protected, but as the very source of the solutions humanity needs to secure its future.
Projects that respond to the challenges of today’s climate
Among the company’s most recent initiatives, the project to extend the aqueduct in the municipality of San José de Las Matas (SAJOMA), in the Dominican Republic, stands out. In a region subject to increasing climate variability, this strategic intervention ensures long-term access to a resource as critical as drinking water. By optimising the raw water intake, conveyance, treatment, storage and distribution systems, the project reduces the vulnerability of local populations and promotes a balanced and respectful coexistence with the island’s ecological flows.
This commitment to climate security and social well-being is equally reflected in its projects on the African continent, where engineering acts as an indispensable shield against the advance of resource scarcity and the deterioration of the productive ecosystems that sustain the rural economy.
