Incatema renews its collaboration with Agrónomos Sin Fronteras

25 January, 2022

Incatema Consulting & Engineering has renewed its collaboration with Agrónomos Sin Fronteras (Agronomists Without Borders) following five consecutive years of support for the organisation. The company’s commitment to this NGO responds to its determined will to support the task of improving agriculture in Tanzania through agricultural trainings and the supervision of farming.

Thanks to the Agriconnect project funded by the European Union, the Foundation provides technical assistance to more than 700 farmers and has set up 60 plantations since the project began in June 2020. Throughout this project, various skill trainings have been provided.

Incatema, aware of the huge impact of the work of Agrónomos Sin Fronteras in Tanzania, has again supported the association this year so that it can continue with the important work it has been carrying out since 2004.

“This collaboration forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility and reflects our firm commitment to supporting achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN’s 2030 Agenda, specifically SDG 1, End Poverty, and SDG 2, Zero Hunger, by training small producers in good farming practices. By improving yields, on the one hand it will be possible to ensure food security for the families, and on the other hand, a small surplus that can be sold locally to generate extra income”, notes Ana Romero, Director of Consulting at Incatema Consulting & Engineering.

These trainings give special priority to the equal participation of men and women and also promote access for the younger population.

The foundation develops its projects in the region of Iringa, in Tanzania’s south, where three farming schools and two farming cooperatives have been put into operation.
