28 May, 2019

Incatema Consulting & Engineering has signed a contract as part of the priority work planned for shoring up water production in the Metropolitan pumping station of Port-au-Prince, for the design and construction of a storage deposit for drinking water on the Vivy Mitchell hillside located in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince.

The deposit, called Reservoir R-236, will be able to hold 2,000m3 of drinking water and will supply the lower part of the network system, as well as provide emergency flow towards the network that is supplied by the two springs Tunnel Frères and Doco.

This work is being carried out as part of the framework of the project shoring up drinking water production in the Haitian capital, which we will update you on here . The project, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank, is divided into two parts. The objective of the first part was to implement and connect eight boreholes to the metropolitan region network system of Port-au-Prince and, during the second part the pumping capacity was increased in the Mariani Pumping Station, located in one of the most deprived areas of the Haitian capital.

The project, which will be completed with the delivery of this new deposit by Incatema Consulting & Engineering, will improve drinking water accessibility to the inhabitants of Port-au-Prince, once again backing the company’s commitment to the sustainable development of the regions where it operates.
