World Bank awards Incatema 4 million euros for agricultural project in Angola

Incatema Consulting & Engineering has been awarded the World Bank contract for 'Technical Assistance Services for the development and implementation of Business Plans' as part of the Commercial Agriculture Development Project, whose main objective is to the foster the development of agriculture in Angola by promoting the country’s production of quality foods. The ultimate goal aims to improve food security and reduce imports and foreign dependence.

The objective of the technical assistance programme is to support producers and processing SMEs involved in various value chains: maize, soya, beans, eggs, poultry and coffee , considered priorities in developing Angolan commercial agriculture. It is intended for holdings to reduce their costs and increase their productivity. This will entail several different actions, including:

- Training

- Support in adopting innovative technologies in holdings and processing lines

- Technical assistance in creating and implementing 250 Business Plans for holdings or SMEs

- Support for establishing public-private alliances between agents in the chain
