Incatema has been awarded two new contracts with the Angolan Ministry of Agriculture, specifically for the National Coffee Institute of Angola (INCA).
The first of these contracts is for the construction of greenhouses for the cultivation of coffee, of 500 m2 each, and a total surface area of 2,000 m2. This contract amounts to 241,721 euros and will be executed within 4 months.
The second contract consists of the installation of irrigation systems in said coffee greenhouses, as well as drip irrigation system on 7 hectares adjacent to the greenhouses. This project, worth 186,076 euros, is based on the sustainability of all high-precision irrigation elements and technologies, in order to achieve the greatest effectiveness and efficiency in irrigation.
The implementation of these greenhouses, for the multiplication of coffee plants, will allow Angola’s small producers to extend their production area, which, in turn, will allow for greater production in the future.
Both projects for the improvement of coffee cultivation are part of the Angolan government’s Commercial Agriculture Development Program, to which Incatema provides technical assistance.
