Incatema continues with assembly of the Cambérène WWTP at a good pace (Senegal)

Incatema Consulting & Engineering continues with the works to install the mechanical equipment for the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) of Cambérène (Senegal), which will service more than 1,685,000 inhabitants, with an average treatment capacity of 92,000 cubic metres per day, capable of withstanding treatment peaks of up to 101,000 cubic metres daily.

The works to install the electromechanical equipment comprised in these works are advancing according to the established schedule. They relate to the installation of scraper bridge mechanisms for interception and removal of sand and grease, sand classifiers, worm screw drivers for the transportation and removal of inert solid waste intercepted in pre-treatment, lamella for primary decanting, diffusers and aerators for aerobic digestion of the biological reactor, among others. It also includes placement of the sluice gates, scraper bridge- clarifier of the secondary decanter and various electric pump sets for primary decanting, thickened sludges and dosing of the polyelectrolyte among others.

This action is encompassed within the turnkey project that Incatema Consulting is executing for the Islamic Development Bank with a budget of 32 million euros and which contemplates the design, construction, supply of equipment, functioning tests and commissioning for the remodelling and extension of the area’s treatment plant, as previously reported here
